Easypaz is focused on shipping fresh, pre-measured ingredients and chef-designed recipes to customers. We had a nice conversation with Farnaz who is a co-founder of Easypaz along with Farzad.
Avatech: What is Easypaz and what does it do?
Farnaz: With Easypaz, our goal is to demonstrate the joy of easy cooking in the house, Easypaz sets out to solve to be a solution for those who care about food and would like to cook new recipes based on their own taste with quality and fresh ingredients. At easy paz, We introduce a number of recipes each week and deliver fresh and measured ingredients at the house and with this method we’ve made food delivery efficient.
Avatech: Where does the idea of Easypaz come from?
Farnaz: I always face the dilemma of what to cook for my family for dinner, and I liked to cook new recipes but to pick one that my kids and spouse liked and ingredients where easy to gather after a hard day’s work was always a big headache. Besides, Farzad is an adventurer of new and tasty recipes and a cooking aficionado. We studied the idea for Meal Kit which is currently gaining momentum in other countries and picked it.
Avatech: What is the value of Easypaz?
Farnaz: With Easypaz families enjoy diversity with their food and given the fact that ingredients are fresh and of high quality and the food is made at home, it’s possible to control the fat and salt intake and hence the food will be healthier. Plus because the ingredients are measured, there’ won’t be any waste and you won’t have to unnecessarily store extra food at the house and most importantly with the interesting packages people receive and make the meal at home together and dine together, families will come closer to each other.
Avatech: Tell us about Easypaz team and the reason you decided you to work on this startup.
Farnaz: I’m Farnaz Valvi, a BSc in software engineering and Farzad Haghighat holds a master’s degree in Networks and We have been doing varied and successful projects in the fields of banking and car manufacturing for numerous software companies for over ten years now. We decided to use our successful experiences to create a big business together. We had a shared love of food and cooking, on the other hand most of our prior projects were in the field of Logistics. So we decided to invest our time in a project that is most suited with and interests and experiences. Given the experience of past projects I have the role of project manager and Farzad the technical lead.
Avatech:How do you see the future for yourself and your startup? How do you plan for the future?
Farnaz: We believe we can serve the community in terms of nutrition with this project, and we foresee a bright future for it. But, the road is tough and full of obstacles, and we have planned for the future with these challenges in mind.
Avatech: What challenges are on your way to grow??
Farnaz: Given this idea’s novelty and the absence of similar examples in Iran, introducing it to people is tough. Apart from that our biggest challenge is picking inexpensive recipes that are compatible with Iranian culture that our customers would enjoy. Also, setting up a supply chain and connecting with high quality suppliers and attracting the investment to retain this supply chain are big challenges.
Avatech: How did you get to know Avatech?
Farnaz: We were introduced to Avatech and the concept of startups via the events held by Avatech over the past two years. We chatted with some of the teams that were part of previous cycles at Avatech and gathered data on the work procedures of Avatech. We picked Avatech to achieve our goals and we’re very satisfied with the choice we made.
Avatech: How has your experience been with Avatech?
Farnaz: It’s been unlike any other. Utilizing mentors and workshops has given us invaluable experience that would’ve been quite difficult and time consuming to achieve any other way. Besides, because these data were given to teams in timely fashion, they proved quite useful. But the thing that is of the most value to use is being near other teams and their members. People who share our goals and aspirations and in the times of need we could use their experiences as well as the mentors’.
Avatech: What keeps the team motivated through tough times?
Farnaz: The belief that we are capable and that there’s always a solution to any problem is a shared mindset in our team and this is the main source of our motivation at all tough times.
Avatech:What has been your biggest achievement been so far?
Farnaz: Forming a startup has been very different from pas works and experiences for our team. The fact that we reached a consensus in this new project and using the atmosphere at Avatech earned a vast amount of knowledge and data about the field of startups is our biggest achievement. Also, high satisfaction among our customers in the short time we have launched our startup is very heartwarming and we gain energy from it.
Avatech: What advice do you have for teams wanting to launch a startup?
Farnaz: To start work they need to put special emphasis on their team. The members of a team need to complement each other in terms of personality, knowledge and skills. This is the first prerequisite to start working and they need to be ready. In a startup they will have to face countless challenges and uncertainties that need a lot of time and energy to resolve and if a team doesn’t have the aforementioned qualities, in times of adversity they might face tension or even being disbanded.

Avatech: What is your favorite productivity tool?
Farnaz: Not a day goes by without us using OneNote, Pocket, Slack, Google Analytics, and Excel.
Avatech: What is the biggest lesson you learned from the start of your project up to now?
Farnaz: The biggest lesson has been that with the fewest resources and in the shortest of time we need to lunch and test the idea so that we can figure out the real needs of the customer. Being too idealistic on the first product and spending too much time on planning is the biggest obstacle in the way lunching the startup and testing a new idea.
